Rate Center Boundaries
Tariffs are organized into rate center boundaries that are defined by the ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Company) boundaries as part of their tariff submission to a State Regulatory Commission. GDT ‘s methodology is based on this information as a data feed.
GDT continues to increase accuracy by building rate centers using the same basic unit of geography-based methodology as is used to build wire center boundaries.
Rate Center Boundaries provide a larger scale view of telecommunications landscape for planning and analysis using the NAD 83 datum.
These boundaries cover the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii.
